The Gears of your replica must all be correctly adjusted to each other and you do this by placing Shims or Shimsets. If Gears are too much rubbing against each other while turning this causes enormous wear on the gears and your engine, if you leave to much space between each other then this can be at the expense of the gears itself.
So it's extremely important to put a lot of patience and love into shimming your gearbox!
